MCH Long Term Care Facility Earns Five Star Ratings
The Long Term Care at Muhlenberg Community Hospital was awarded five-star ratings in overall performance this week as was published in the U.S. News and World Report's Best Nursing Homes 2011.
The overall ratings include individual categories in health inspections, nurse staffing and quality measures.
Muhlenberg Community Hospital's Long Term Care was built in 1962 and was one of three initial facilities as such in the state. Connecting to the hospital, there are 45 beds on the unit. The unit accepts patients requiring skilled nursing needs and individuals who need rehabilitation.
Patients who were initially treated elsewhere can return home to this unit (upon meeting certain criteria) for their care.
